A day after Kanye West was rushed to the hospital for "temporary psychosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration," an old speech from Dave Chappelle is making us reconsider our perception of West and other "troubled" stars.

In the clip, grabbed from a 2006 episode of Bravo's Inside the Actor's Studio, Chappelle, now 43, shares his thoughts on Hollywood, his friend and fellow comedian Martin Lawrence, and what it really means when we call a celebrity "crazy."

 "What is happening in Hollywood, that a guy that tough will be on the street waving a gun, screaming, 'they are trying to kill me'?" Chappelle asks host James Lipton, referring to a public breakdown Lawrence suffered in 1996. "What's going on? Why is Dave Chappelle going to Africa? Why does Mariah Carey make a $100 million-dollar deal and take her clothes off on TRL?"
